Mac's
Ontario: Mac's convenience stores in Ontario are gradually transitioning to rebrand as Circle K. Phone numbers and address will not change. Website should be changed to CircleKOntario.ca. Do not set the website as CircleK.com. The presence of a Circle K advertisement pin (waze app) does NOT mean the location is a Circle K. Locations that are Mac's will still show the Circle K pin. Use the Circle K store locator to check if the location is Circle K or Mac's.
Western Canada: Mac's stores in Western Canada will gradually transition, the transition has not started.
Atlantic Canada: Mac's does not exist in Atlantic Canada. They have had Circle K for years, and will only receive a logo change. Set website to CircleKAtlantic.ca. Do not set website as CircleK.com.
Quebec: "Couche-Tard" (convenience stores in Quebec with the same red owl) are to stay as-is. Set website to Quebec.Couche-Tard.com
Target
Target has closed operations in Canada and all should be removed from the map.
Future Shop
Future Shop should be handled on a per-location basis.
Some locations re-branded as Best Buy, and some closed. Use the Store Locator to check if a Best Buy exists at the location.
Zellers
Zellers has kept two stores open to act as liquidation for Hudson's Bay Company. The stores are as follows:
- "Bells Corners", 2065 Robertson Rd, Nepean (Ottawa), ON
- "Kipling-Queensway Mall", 1255 The Queensway, Etobicoke, ON
All other stores, including the one in Montreal-North (QC), and Surrey (BC), which were previously used for liquidation are closed. Closed stores should not be mapped on Waze.
