Uturns I'm not sure that the policy of restricting U Turns unless there is a sign outright permitting them is accurate, because that's not the case in Ontario. U Turns are permitted anywhere, except on or within 30m of a rail crossing or on a curve, crest or near a tunnel, where you can't see 150m in each direction. This isn't just a question of legality, but also a question of desirability. Some of the old-school GPS units were fond of using u-turns to get you back on a route, and that was seen as problematic. U-turns serve a purpose, but routing with them intentionally is rarely desirable.
Furthermore, when you look at the criteria you mentioned, they're actually NOT that permissible, given how loosely "curve" or "crest" could be defined, nor whether you have 150m clear visbility in every direction. --Doctorkb (discussion) 22 avril 2021 à 00:24 (UTC)
