This is a summary of the capabilities that are restricted by editor rank. Ranks are 1-7 and are designated R1, R2, etc. R7 is reserved for Waze staff.
Any editor can edit segments or places with lock levels at or below their rank. The following are permissions based on achieving a specific rank.
- Approving Place Update Requests (PURs) - R2, but R1 editors who have had enough updates approved are also given permission to do these.
- Forcing House Numbers - R3
- Adding or removing Real time closures - R4
- Creating Junction Boxes - R5
- Removing Cameras - must be at least the rank of the editor who approved it
