We’d like to share with you more information on the Beacons program in Waze and how your community can get more involved and aware of it:
Driving in tunnels every day? Missing your exits? Let us know!
- We are looking for leads on relevant, high-volume complex tunnels. We are already doing our own research but we will be very happy to hear from you as well so go ahead and fill this Form.
- Are you already in touch with your city/DOT for CCP matters? You can be even more involved by joining us and presenting the beacons program to the partner. Let us know and we will coordinate a hangout and get the ball rolling!
Check out the steps below to make sure your regions tunnels are mapped right:
- Portals of tunnels are aligned with the segment (Many tunnels have a tunnel segment continuing outside the tunnel)
- Correlation between physical tubes and segments as per instructions
- Geometry is correct (use street view or better -overlay an official tunnel plan)
- Segments are mapped as tunnels.
