Dear fellow Waze editor,

While reviewing the map I recently noticed something in one or more of your edits in the map that I wanted to bring to your attention.

Use standard Wiki editor

Dear Wiki editor,

A recent upgrade in the Wiki editor is causing problems that you may not realize. Please be sure to make these changes to preserve the integrity of the underlying Wiki. Users who choose not to make these changes will be blocked from editing the Wiki until the faulty editing interface can be fixed.

If you have questions feel free to let me know.

New roads

{INSERT PERMALINK HERE}

It appears you recently added one or more new roads to the map. Note that your roads currently appear as small red lines. This is because you have not yet finalized the roads by entering the city and road name for the road. Please review the Wiki under http://www.waze.com/wiki/Red_roads#Confirm_the_road_by_updating_details

Parking lot roads

{INSERT PERMALINK HERE}

Generally we don't draw in every lane of a parking lot. We usually draw the outer lanes to help drivers get navigation out of a parking lot and not have the GPS force them to the main street before they can reach it. Details on this topic are covered in there Wiki under http://www.waze.com/wiki/Road_types/USA#Parking_Lot_Road and http://www.waze.com/wiki/Best_map_editing_practice#Parking_Lots

Splitting roads

{INSERT PERMALINK HERE}

In general the roads in the Waze Map Editor do not need to exactly match the visual appearance on the aerial maps. When it comes to split one-way roads, there are many times that we do not actually show the roads as two separate one-way roads. You can read more about it in this Wiki page
