Hello!

This page is to introduce you to the Michigan leaders and some helpful links to get on the best path to editing. There are three State Managers (SM) here in Michigan: Doryphore_6, zohar760, and JB15TM.

They are available any time if you have questions or concerns about something. You can PM any of us via the forum, or use Discord. Discord is a huge part of the editing community in not only this state, but our region as well. They are great for communicating, finding answers to questions, and getting to know your fellow editors. If you don't already have a Gmail account, we would recommend getting one for that alone. If you do have one, share it and we can add you to the group.

If you haven't already taken a look at the community's Scripts page, we would highly recommend you take a look and install a couple of the scripts/tools that we have available. They are EXTREMELY helpful to editing. At minimum, you should consider these: Validator, WME Color Highlights, UR Overview Plus, and WME Toolbox. Others are good too, but those four are core ones to use.

Learning to edit can be a daunting task, but there's info out there to help. Here are some important common wiki pages that you should also review. We keep these bookmarked for easy reference:

You should also take a look at the state page. It is a great resource for how we do things here in Michigan: https://wiki.waze.com/wiki/Michigan

Most new editors like to get going with parking lot roads, but often don’t know the proper way to map them. Please pay close attention to information above regarding parking lots, excessive parking lot roads (PLR), red roads, rail roads, trails, bodies of water, dividing/un-dividing roads, and area places. And of course, please feel free to reach out whenever you need help.

It's great to have you on board! Your edits are appreciated, and it's a big help to lend your time to making the Waze experience better - we always need more volunteers.

Thanks for your help with the map!
