Statewide Mapping Resources

New York City Mapping Resources

  • New York City (all 5 boroughs) NYCityMap and Traffic Advisories
  • Nexar Live Map - Provides real time dash cam images that can be useful in identifying things like speed limits and turn restrictions. This is currently only available in New York City and very limited surrounding area

County Mapping Resources

County Route Inventories

These are the current inventories of county routes from the NYS Highway Data Services Repository (also available here). Note that the basemaps used by the state may be outdated and show state and county routes that are no longer under their jurisdiction (be it sections or entire routes). These inventories should be the primary reference for classifying county routes. County routes do not exist in the 5 boroughs of New York City.
