Statewide Mapping Resources

  • State GIS with Aerial Imagery
    • Create a bookmarklet with the following code to link from your position in WME to the same position in above NY Map. You need to have an active chrome browser window open to WME for this to work.

Mapping Resources for Cities

  • New York City (all 5 boroughs) NYCityMap and Traffic Advisories
  • Nexar Live Map - Provides real time dash cam images that can be useful in identifying things like speed limits and turn restrictions. This is currently only available in New York City.

County Route Inventories

These are the current inventories of county routes from the NYS Highway Data Services Repository. Note that the basemaps used by the state may be outdated and show state and county routes that are no longer under their jurisdiction (be it sections or entire routes) - these inventories should be the primary reference. County routes do not exist in the 5 boroughs of New York City.
