Use this page to keep track of LONG TERM Road Closures & Changes to Traffic Flow in the State of Rhode Island. Please note start and (anticipated) end dates as well as a link to more information about the project (if available). Be sure to read How to handle road closures before making changes to the map & this page.
Due to the current long cycle between map updates, only make map changes for closures that will last more than 2 months.
On May 17th, 2012 Waze announced weekly map updates that would run each Sunday night (GMT) and would contain updates as of the previous Monday([1]). Please only include map changes that will be in place 24 hours a day for at least one week, and be sure to plan your Construction updates accordingly (i.e. 2 weeks in advance).
Due to Major Infrastructure Upgrades at Waze, there is no longer a consistent map tile update schedule, although we have been told that one is in the works (most likely 2-3 times a week). At this point please only map closures that are in effect for more than two weeks.
