Eaglestailg8ter (4) Robert - 9/13/2017 at 10:26 PM FYI - as we prepare - Pennsylvania does not have any unincorporated land. There are many segments listed as "No City" that need to be updated. Every segment should have a Primary City Name. New city names may need to be "Seeded" by L4+. We use Census Designated Places, Township, Boro, and City names from the GIS maps / WME GIS script. We DO NOT utilize Postal City names as primary or Alternate names. Besides improving navigation through editing basemap, we are updating the city layer which will require doing some research. These can be slow and tedious edits that demonstrate patience and competence!

I have extensive Basemap editing experience, and even wrote a guide for it long ago. There are a few pieces to the guide to note: Use the WME Magic script instead of Validator now, and the preservation of rural Driveways is Nebraska-specific guidance that should not be used in PA. RussPA (5) - Last 9/13/2017 at 3:21 PM Most roads in the basemap areas have T### names as the primary, that is the primary goal here, to get rid of those names.

Eaglestailg8ter (4) Robert - 9/13/2017 at 3:40 PM Any State Route (SR) that is a Letter or letters followed by four numbers should be deleted completely (the name, not the road). SR-2006 or like Russ pointed out T-1234 as another example. Those are everywhere and should not show up in either the primary name or the alternate name. Any Segment - not just SR

We have many segments listed as "No City" which is one of the reasons for this map raid. Update basemap to allow Waze navigation to work properly and improve the city layer as it pertains to naming.
