Parking Lot Roads Overdone with incomplete properties (Red Roads)

Hi!

I'm another volunteer Waze editor with some responsibility for the San Francisco to Big Sur region, and noticed you've been adding a number of Parking Lot Roads in this area of the Waze Map (<insert Perm Link here>) in or near <insert town name or landmark here>. One of the Volunteer Area Managers DwarfLord created a Wiki page with helpful information on adding Parking Lot Roads (and many other editing topics) at https://wiki.waze.com/wiki/Incorrect_edits#Excessive_use_of_Parking-Lot_Roads that can assist you in your map edits. (There's also a section towards the end listing what kinds of things new editors can help a bunch with.)

There is also the USA Road Types page at https://wiki.waze.com/wiki/Road_types/USA#Parking_Lot_Road that has some additional information on adding new roads to the map.

I also noticed many of the Parking Lot Roads you added are red, indicating they are incomplete. Check out this item for resolving that https://wiki.waze.com/wiki/Road_names/USA#Incomplete_segments_or_red_roads .

The best thing to happen would probably be for you to do would be to read up on the parking lot info and road naming. If you don't, it's OK, most likely another editor will come along and delete them eventually.

I don't want to discourage you from helping out! Because oh my goodness do we need more good editors helping in the Bay Area with the user requests. I just wanted to let you know that the US editing community does have some structure for most anything you can edit with the Waze Map Editor (WME), and I didn't want you to waste energy adding things that will get deleted sooner or later.

Again, welcome to the community! We are all here to help. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask; please feel free to PM me with any questions.

Cheers! --GizmoMDK
