Why Waze?

I started out with Waze editing like most everyone else: I wanted to make some changes in my area. I had some experience with mapping via Open Street Map, but I found that Waze map editing was more challenging and rewarding since there was a more immediate benefit via the Waze app. I also prefer Waze over other mapping solutions since there is an opportunity for immediate user feedback via the reporting feature.

Another aspect of Waze I enjoy is the speed of updates for new construction. Being able to redraw an intersection or highway interchange and have it go live the day it opens to traffic is incredibly satisfying and rewarding. I enjoy knowing that the Wazing public will benefit immediately from my efforts and the efforts of other editors around the world.
