In the Waze Map Editor, the appearance of a point place reflects its status:
Standard point marker
Selected point marker (size reduced for readability)
Changed point marker
Point place with pending update
The above is the way it shows currently.
The standard Point marker has changed from a singular purple circle with a white border to multiple colors that correspond to the category to which the marker is assigned.
