Select Activate Script in the Activate Script Menu. Google will prompt you to authorize ClosureScripts. Once you have authorized ClosureScripts, the Activate Script option will notify you with "Script is activated! Thanks."

==WME Suggestions==

Do not make any edits to a segment that will force a change of the segment id. If the segment id changes you will need to wait for a tile update before you can add a closure to the segment.
For extremely long sections of segments please provide the beginning and ending segments. The editor doing the closure will fill in the between segments.
Zoom Levels... When creating a PL for a closure please be sure you are zoomed to at least Level 4 [100 M | 500 Ft]

WV Closure Tracking

Below you will find the google form and the google sheet currently being used to track closures in West Virginia. The form is for use by anyone and feeds information the sheet. The sheet is used by those that can implement the closures.

The WME Form Filler Script is a Form Filler Script that saves a lot of time for the people adding closures to the sheet. You will need tampermonkey in order to install the script. This script serves many purposes, including the USA VEOC, so be sure to choose "WV closures" from the pulldown to feed the correct sheet. Please make sure WME Form Filler is version 1.4.6 or later.

Please populate the sheet via either the form or the form filler script to be sure all of the automated features of the sheet work properly.

WV Closure Sheet Informatioɲ

The Form Responses tab is where current and recent closures will be listed and is the only tab most users will need. Older closures are located on the Old Closures tab.

Editing on the WV Closure Sheet is restricted to authorized users. Contact a state manager to request edit access.

ClosureScripts

Scripts are used on the WV Closure Sheet to aid in managing data on the sheet, identifying closures that need attention, and making the data more visual, and manage user access. In order to function correctly, the script requires permission on your Google account to access your email and display browser alerts. If you are not automatically prompted to grant permission. Select Activate Script in the Activate Script Menu. Google will prompt you to authorize ClosureScripts. Once you have authorized ClosureScripts, the Activate Script option will notify you with "Script is activated! Thanks."

Columns T-V

These columns are used by scripts for sorting the sheet and identifying duplicate segments.

Editor Tools

The Editor Tools Menu contains some scripts that can help manage the sheet.

WME Suggestions

Do not make any edits to a segment that will force a change of the segment id. If the segment id changes you will need to wait for a tile update before you can add a closure to the segment. For extremely long sections of segments please provide the beginning and ending segments. The editor doing the closure will fill in the between segments. Zoom Levels... When creating a PL for a closure please be sure you are zoomed to at least Level 4 [100 M | 500 Ft]

Finding Closure Locations

A screenshot of search results from the WV Geometry and Measures site. The Waze link from the WME Open Other Maps script is at the top right.

The WME US Government Boundaries script that will show the boundaries and the county name. This is very important to use so that you can verify you are closing the correct road segment in the correct county. Some road names are used in more than one county.

WV Geometry and Measures Site

The WV Geometry and Measures site from the WVDOT provides the ability to locate closures using the route number and mileposts, if available. There is a search function at the bottom left. Use the road icon to generate a Route ID. When generating a route ID you must select an option for every field. If any field is left blank, it will generate a Route ID that will not locate the road.

Once the Route ID is generated, you can enter the milepost information if available. For single mileposts, leave the second box blank.

The WME Open Other Maps script is useful when using the WV Geometry and Measures site as it adds a link to open WME to the same location.
