Temporary AM Areas program

The Wisconsin State Managers (SM) have implemented a program geared towards our Area Managers (AM) that will help provide much needed coverage in the more rural areas of the state. This program will grant a temporary area for the AM to work on, outside of their normal territory.

Areas can be assigned to the AM or through discussion with the SM's, can be specialized.

The temporary areas will be active for 60 days, although timeline modifications can occur if discussed with the SM or the Regional Coordinator (RC).

To qualify for this program, you must:

  1. Have been a Wisconsin AM for a minimum of 45 days.
  2. Have the endorsement of the SM or RC, which will come from your current AM performance.

Upon granting of this temporary AM zone, you will be responsible for it like your regular area. Dealing with UR's and MP's. Fixing roads (geometry, directions, names, classifications), junctions, places and place updates. You will utilize local GIS maps and other DOT and local services to determine proper road placements and FC classes.

The goal of this project is to bring up the rural areas of the state, some places of which are still original basemap imports, to a mature functional level.
