In Thailand, many roads have an uncrossable median, requiring drivers trying to get to a location on the other side of the road to drive past their location and make a U-turn at an intersection or designated [[Thailand#U-Turns|U-Turn connector]].  In order to assure proper routing in Waze, these roads must be divided.
When it is illegal to cross a road, indicated by an uncrossable barrier in the middle it should be divided.  This allows Waze to properly route users to the correct side of the road for their destination.

These uncrossable medians are indicated by a ''widened'' yellow section or an uncrossable barrier in the middle.
See the [[Thailand#U-Turns|U-Turn section]] for instructions on how to properly hand dedicated U-Turn lanes on divided roads.

If the road has already been drawn in as a single two way segment, care should be taken when dividing to preserve any existing traffic history assigned to those segments.  Here is a tutorial on how to divide a road and preserve existing traffic history and street numbers.  (Tutorial link to be added soon)

Dividing roads

When it is illegal to cross a road, indicated by an uncrossable barrier in the middle it should be divided. This allows Waze to properly route users to the correct side of the road for their destination.

See the U-Turn section for instructions on how to properly hand dedicated U-Turn lanes on divided roads.
