Street names
All segments must be given a city name and most segments also receive a street name. There are exceptions.
- If there is a city name and street name, there may also be a road number. When this road number is on the signs (direction indicators and/or hectometer posts), it must be placed before the street name. Such as: N200 - S103 - Haarlemmerweg
- Some segments are intentionally left unnamed, so the instruction to the next segment is: inheritance, road name inheritance.
- Leave the street name blank for a short connecting segment - see image - om
- ensure that when you turn left twice, the second street name is given and to
- to prevent you from sometimes hearing the wrong street name if there is a different street name on both sides of the intersection.
- The NWB can be used to see whether a road (section) has an N number. A user-friendly user interface for this data is the viewer.
