* If the reporter doesn´t respond to your question within 5 days, you may send a reminder message. It often happens the reporters do respond only after a reminder.
The color of the problem pin, just like Update Reqeuests, are indicative of something. In the case of Problems, it is the number of drivers affected by, or driving through the problem area, in an unexpected manner. The more drive traces which follow the same route, the higher the likelihood that this problem needs to be fixed. An exclamation point in the icon shows that the problem is open. A check mark indicates that the problem has been closed.
* When the reporter also does not respond to your reminder, within 8 days, you can close the UR as "Not identified", with a comment in the conversation why you closed it.

When you click on an Problem pin, the top portion of the map display area is taken over by the information for the problem.
 
The top bar of the Problem states that this is a System Detected Problem.
 
 
==System detected problem Types==
* Missing road - The roads are too far apart from each other and most likely a road is missing in between.  In many cases the missing roads are identified in Parking Lots. Please see the guidelines regarding the mapping of Parking Lots.  <a href="/wiki/index.php/Best_map_editing_practice#Parking_Lots" title="Map Editing (new Editor)">Parking Lot Guidelines</a>
* Restricted turn might be allowed - The route goes through a turn which is marked as not allowed.
* Driving direction mismatch - Part of the route is in the wrong driving direction.
* Missing junction - The roads are close to each other, however, they are not connected by a junction.
* Cross roads junction missing - The roads intersect each other, however, there is no junction in the intersection point.

Berichtdefinitie (Improve your skills)
* Begin met het bedanken van de verslaggever voor het melden van het probleem.
* Als de melding duidelijk is en je dit probleem direct kunt oplossen, doe dit dan en leg aan de melder uit wat je hebt gedaan. De melder ontvangt een bericht van uw opmerking en zal zich gewaardeerd voelen voor zijn/haar toevoeging. Daarnaast kunnen andere editors van uw oplossing leren en kan het helpen bij het oplossen van andere vraagstukken in de buurt. Je kunt de UR sluiten als opgelost.
* Als het probleem niet duidelijk is, vraag de melder dan beleefd om meer informatie.
* Als de melder niet binnen 5 dagen op uw vraag reageert, kan je een herinneringsbericht sturen. Het komt vaak voor dat de melders pas reageren na een herinnering.
* Wanneer de melder ook niet na 7 dagen op uw herinnering reageert, kan je de UR afsluiten als "Niet geïdentificeerd", met een opmerking in het gesprek waarom je deze hebt gesloten.
