* You are currently limited to routing up to about 200 miles (320km) distance
TopLine
* Waze gives verbal instructions at fixed distances from turns. For example, at 800m (half a mile), 200m (200 yards) and at the turn. There is a problem when you complete one turn and the distance to the next turn is less than 200m. While the display shows the upcoming turn, there is no verbal warning until you reach the turn. This is too late when you need to get into the correct lane. A new verbal warning is needed such as "Coming next: turn right"
<languages />
* When you request a route the client device app assumes you are continuing in the same direction your last travelled. This is often desirable, but can lead to unnecessarily longer routes when you have a choice of direction from your starting position. We need the option to tell Waze we can leave a starting point in any direction

* The icon display for roundabout directions are incorrect for countries that drive on the left. The spoken instructions are correct

Another way to build new roads is to use the pave mode in your mobile app. Use the reports button. In some countries, there will be a large button with a picture of a yellow tractor. In other countries, choose "map issue" and then "Pave" and follow the instructions. As soon as you get far enough away from a known road, Waze will start recording your movement as new road segments, with junctions (nodes) at your turns. When Waze detects that you are back on a known road, road building mode is automatically paused.<br />

The global Wiki FAQ states:

Another way to build new roads is to use the pave mode in your mobile app. Use the reports button. In some countries, there will be a large button with a picture of a yellow tractor. In other countries, choose "map issue" and then "Pave" and follow the instructions. As soon as you get far enough away from a known road, Waze will start recording your movement as new road segments, with junctions (nodes) at your turns. Please turn off road building mode when it is not needed to prevent duplicate roads being recorded in case of GPS errors on your mobile device or errors downloading parts of map due to poor cellular phone coverage.

When you are done, wait until the road turns red on your screen before turning off paving mode to make sure the final segment is saved. If you have accidentally started to record a road in error, you can quickly turn off pave mode before it is saved.

After paving the created segments are still unvalidated. They are displayed with a pink color in the editor. Tidy up the segment, make the connections, add the specifics like name, speed. A tile update removes the pink color.
