When searching for an address in the Waze app or Live map, Waze first checks the residential places (RPP), where the place name must exist on a nearby segment. Waze will then check its own Waze house numbers, both the manually created and imported house numbers. If the address has not yet been found, the Google Maps database will be consulted.
