In allerlei gemeentes kunnen Taxi's mét een lokale vergunning gebruik maken van speciale wegen (zoals <i>busbanen</i>), doorsteekjes en parkeerplaatsen. Echter zo'n lokale vergunning is alleen in een zeer specifiek gebied geldig. Bijvoorbeeld Taxi's met een Utrechtse vergunning hebben buiten Utrecht géén speciale rechten. Vanwege die zeer plaatselijke werking van die vergunningen kunnen we het gebruik van voertuigtype Taxi heel moeilijk in het hele land ondersteunen. Vandaar dat we, als regel, in Nederland niet editen voor Taxi's. Taxi's die Waze als navigatietool gebruiken kunnen het beste gewoon <i>Personenauto</i> als voertuigtype instellen.<br>
