Please note that Mobile Speed Cameras are in use in the incorporated cities of Gretna and Westwego within Jefferson Parish, however, these should not be placed on the map since they move every few days and there is no way to keep them on the map with any accuracy.

Based on information researched at the time this page was created, the limited legality of red light and speed cameras in Louisiana is described below.

No other camera types should be mapped in Waze.

Red Light and Speed Cameras are banned in Jefferson Parish Louisiana. Please note that Mobile Speed Cameras are in use in the incorporated cities of Gretna and Westwego within Jefferson Parish, however, these should not be placed on the map since they move every few days and there is no way to keep them on the map with any accuracy.
