Based on information researched at the time this page was created, red light and speed cameras are illegal statewide in New Jersey.

No other camera types should be mapped in Waze.

Important: As of 12/16/14 all red light cameras have been turned off and signage has been removed, pending a statewide vote whether to reinstate them. Until further notice, no cameras shall be approved in the editor or added from the client. Existing cameras should be kept in place at this time. Do not delete or modify any previously approved cameras.
