Functional Classifaction

New Jersey currently uses the NJDOT Highway Functional Classification Maps (2013) for the determination of road types in the state. Use these maps along with the Road types/USA guidance to determine the appropriate road types in New Jersey.

For the correct naming of roads see Road names/USA below.
