This is a documentation subpage for Template:Cleanup global.
It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

This template is added to global pages that require cleanup of foreign content or links, but have no USA version on a different page. If there is already a USA version of this page use the {{Merge global}} template.

Usage

Place {{Cleanup global}} at the top of a page to produce the default message box.

Alternately, the one recommended parameter |<description> will be appended in the notice to help other editors know what needs to be done.

{{Merge global
| Describe what needs to be cleaned up here
| nocat  = on/off
}}

Parameters

<description>

Recommended unnamed parameter to identify why the page is being recommended for cleanup.

nocat

If the template is on a page demonstrating the use of the template, setting this parameter to on will prevent the Category:Request for global merge from being added to the page.

Examples
