Welcome to Waze editing!
I noticed you editing in the [url=https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=usa&lon=-73.42813&lat=40.75474&zoom=6&segments=503735035]Farmingdale College[/url] area.
It is always great to have new Waze'rs join the editing team, but there are some complex issues that go on behind the scenes, that are not immediately obvious. In this particular case the road types were set as private roads and streets in a particular setup so as to add delays to some roads and reduce delays in others to route users around a gated entrance
There is a group of editors in NY, that are happy to help explain these issues, so that you can avoid some of the common pitfalls and have a more enjoyable experience while editing in Waze.
