Restricted area
Waze does not provide a route through a Restricted Driving Area (RDA). Only when the destination is in the restricted area, a route offered into it and it is reported that you are going to enter a restricted area.
Note: Only level 5 map editors can maintain restricted areas.
Via a WME map layer it is possible to activate and deactivate the display of restricted areas.
Create a new restricted area
- Click the area icon in the top bar
- Your pointer changes and you can start drawing the polygon on the map
- Fill in the information in the side panel:
- Area name
- Restriction name - it is visible as an indication in the alternative route screen
- Address
- Add the relevant restrictions in the restrictions panel
- Save
