Road Shield
The Road Shield function consists of two parts:

Road shields and roads
We only add road shields to segments with a road number. (A, N, S and R roads)
To add a road shield, the segment must have a name.
- Select the segment
- Click Bestand:AddRoadShield2.png Add Road Shield in the left panel
- Click on Select road shield.
- Choose the correct shield from the drop down menu. Here you only see the relevant shields.
- Text road shield is given the road number, for example A12, N795, S111.
Comments:
- Only one road shield can be associated with a segment's address field.
- Do not remove the road number from the street name because then you will change the road shield for all segments with the same new name.
- The shield applies to all segments with the same segment and place name.
- For the time being, we are not removing the road number from the name of the road. This only becomes possible when the alternative name is included to distinguish the street ID for the Road Shield.
Wegschilden en afslagen
Wanneer er een wegschild op het bord van de afslag staat dan voegen we dit wegschild toe aan de visuele instructies bij deze afslag.
E-roads

En verder
- We gebruiken hoofdletters voor de S, N, R wegnummers, ook als staat dit (nog) niet zo op de borden. (Hoofdletters is namelijk de nieuwe standaard)
- Bij dubbelnummering van wegen (vb. S106/S122 Erasmusbrug of A4/A58) wordt het tweede wegnummer als alternatieve straatnaam met wegschild toegevoegd. Deze wordt alleen niet getoond op de kaart. In de Wegschild TTS voegen we deze wel gewoon toe.
- Als het bord een plaatsnaam met daarachter een wegnummer tussen haakjes staat - bijvoorbeeld Amsterdam (A4) - dit wegnummer niet toevoegen bij de visuele en gesproken aanwijzingen. Wanneer het wegnummer zonder haakjes vermeld wordt, het wegnummer wel aangeven.
